    I've got a Philips 3600D DVD Player.
    Does anyone know how to unlock it so I can play US region DVDs on it?
    -Cheers...

    Is your player a MX or LX 3600D?

    Cheers mate, thanks...
    I saw loads of Philips hacks (including the one above) through Google but I didn't know which one would work on the LX3600D.

    I'll check it later and post afterwards.

    -Thanks again...

    Power up the set and open tray in DVD mode.
    Press 9999 follow by X buttons on the Remote control.
    where x = numeric 1 to 6 denoting the regions below:
    1 = USA
    2 = Europe
    3 = Asia Pacific
    4 = Australia, New Zealand, Latam
    5 = Russia, India
    6 = China

    This is taken from the original service manual for the reciever.

    0 will give you region free.

    Just look for your player model on www.vcdhelp.com the region hacks are rated there too, so you'll find one without too much trouble.
