Loss of picture quality on LCD

I've just mounted my LCD TV onto the wall. I had to replace the scart cable as it was too short.
I bought a 4m (13ft) scart as it was the only one available (2m would be plenty).

Is it possible to lose picture quality with an extended scart?

The picture doesn't seem as good, but I'm not sure if it's my imagination.

It is possible to lose quality over cable lenght, also the scart may not be fully screened or of a poorer quality than the original one you had.

Thank you, what do you mean by 'fully screened' though?
