Pokertracker and Clients- Where are they kept?

Had a bit of a computer problem last week and windows became corupt during an auto-update.
So the solution means re-installing windows, and every other program. Considering I spend all my working day on a computer, this is a big job.

Luckily, all my files are ok. Everything down to music and pictures. Programs are still there but won't run as they don't recognaise the new windows. But when I was looking through the program files folder I noticed that I couldn't see pokertracker. So where exactly is it stored?

To be honest I think its not there, as it appears that all the history folders are gone too. The PPP/GJP/Mermaid folders are there, but the history xml files are gone. The whole titan and pokerstars folders are gone too by the looks of it. And PA Hud.

If somebody could post the default location for these it would help get a quick answer. Im not happy right now as it appears as well as losing all my programs (not poker, ones I can't get back easily), i've lost my PT database, and the files to rebuild it.

    Default is :
    C:\Program Files\Poker Tracker V2

    Doesn't sound too good :(

You would have probably set poker tracker to move your hand history files away from the client history folder - to a folder you chose at some point. Maybe do a search for '.xml'...

yeah i did, but it was also in GJP history folder,
move from history > table to history > old hands

So, the other folder has disappeared too,

It might be possible to get that stuff back if it is gone Mellor. If you know anyone technically minded, mention a program called GetDataBack for NTFS, its made by a company called Runtime Software, and can reconstruct deleted files.
Another Progam called ERD commander can restore windows to a point in the past if the restore points are still on the hard disk

The only problem is, If something has been written to the area of the hard disk where your file was located, then it is pretty much gone forever, and the more you use the pc the more likely that gets.

Do a search for .mdb files and see if it returns anything.
