I wonder if anyone can give me a hand, I'm tryingto get the gearbox out of my G36(to put in a tightbore barell) and I cant for the life of me get it out.
I'm using the guide on mechbox.com but when i get to the bit where you swing out the lower reciever I just cant get it out. I cant push th hop-up in any further but the gearbox still gets caught on it.

    Anyone had the same experience?
    Anyone able to help me?

    Thanks in advance

I had the same experience so, I took the body apart. But then I saw the Mechbox guide, the hop-up is very stiff, I had to get my dad to hold it forward so I could get the receiver out.
Make sure you have all the screws and stuff out, including the one at the stock latch.
Other than that, I really don't know.

Push it towards the muzzle, its very hard to do by yourself.

You should see all of the nozzle before you start to pull the lower R out.

YAY! I got it out! The trick is to push the little plate on top of the gearbox back out of the way, it's quite easy...

Problem 2; i cant get the barrell out... any tips?

Most barrels are held by two grooves on the side which are held by a clip on the end of the hop unit.
