maurzen p99 with supressor , ask kdouglas his is so quite

Any NBB will serve will be much quiter then a GBB. As mentioned by previous posters, either the TM MK23 or Maruzen P99 (fixed slide with silencer) will serve you well.

From what i've read the TM NBB Mk.23 Socom is damn quiet, but boy is it big

Was looking at that alright on youtube:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i3qlIoJoR0A&feature=related

pretty quiet, still a fair onld rattle from the hammer but could be the video making it sound worse then it is.

true, it is rather huge but its really light.

I would have thought that the tm .357 magnum would have been quieter then most. No slide and the hammer only makes the slightest noise. And if you made a small rubber bush from a non slip pad or something attaches to the hammer it'd make none.

24 shots too so not too bad in the capacity stakes either and its very accurate.

Gotta agree here. Been firing the GBB and NBB version for a while and the NBB is whisper quiet. The silencer actually makes a difference on it

If I remember correctly, O1S1n's Bell M9 is pretty damn silent :D

NBB's are quieter, more powerful and more reliable than GBB's. They're usually more accurate too. They do serve a purpose

I dislike aegs for the same reason, but there are limited alternatives, blowback mods maybe.

I watched the mk23 TM on youtube, click click, very sad, my girlfriend split up laughing.

Yeah they serve a purpose but I just cant stand them, compared to a gbb.

And that my good man is why I'll never buy another clone again

Actually, it makes noise alright. Just fires blanks. (Waits for N.O.I.P to make a really inappropriate comment)

thats coz the tip of the loading muzzle has broken off every one of them ive seen, then it cant push BBs into the barrel.,

Its late N.O.I.P. will play the lowest common denominator card in the morning right after he stops referring to himself in the 3rd person.

The loading muzzle seems fine. It'll work when I pull the slide back manually. Doesn't blow back properly to load another round in though.

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 11,001 ✭✭✭✭Masada

oh i see, i had that too, it was the spring in the hammer mech that was making the hammer difficult to pull back and the slide didnt have enough kick to cock it for the next shot.,
also its only a tiny bit that breaks off the laoding muzzle, you sure that its fine?

I just checked and the bit is still on the loading muzzle.

The hammer mechanism is an interesting one. I've never thought of that being the problem before. What did you do with the spring? cut/replace?

  • Banned (with Prison Access) Posts: 11,001 ✭✭✭✭Masada

it just needed to be reinstalled properly,., theres also the chance that you might have bit the little square chrome bit in the wrong way around, i did it twice.,

edit, its the bit in this pic that pushes the valve on the mag, it fits in both ways but it doesnt work properle if its the wrong way around.,

Excellent, I'll give that a go when I get the chance.

By the way, you don't seem to realize how long I've been trying to fix that thing. Must have bought it about a year ago. It's never worked once. Even had someone post me a tiny screw that was missing from the slide thinking that's what the problem was

lol., they are a pain though, this should help ya,
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055172868

its best to polish the lide rails on the Bell and change the recoil spring, the standard one is useless.,

    edit again,
Even had someone post me a tiny screw that was missing from the slide thinking that's what the problem was
if the piece that that screw goes into looks scratched then its a safe bet thet the hammer mech is the problem as the hammer is resisting the slide ., :)

Can I ask what the advantage of a silent pistol really is?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,641 ✭✭✭zero19

    Stealth attacks i guess

If your attacking with a pistol you are using the wrong weapon IMO.

Close quaters at night a silent pistol could be interesting

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 2,323 ✭✭✭Spitfire666

The .357 came in handy the one time I brought it to predator with me. Was in a hedge and got 3 or 4 kills without giving my position away by using the AEG I had with me.

Where is the shock? Where is the Awe? Where is the 3ft vertical jump of surprise with optional wet trousers?

Silent me arse. Go loud and sudden.

Really depends on the the dynamic of the game but I know I've been hit by snipers who and I didnt here it and culdn't see them, add the dark and the confusion your really f**k people up :D

    definitely agree

and in response to alvin's question, my p99 came in very useful one time while sneaking up the lane toward the ghost base, i took out one of the enemy from the lane, with my silent pistol, who was behind cover about 20 metres away, doing it silently meant his teammates in the base behind him didnt know where i was (until of course the bugger walked over and told them where he'd been shot from, but that's an issue for another day)

Yeah thats what I ment by the dynamic of the game. If there was no regen and kills were a "sitd own and shutup" rule then it could get interesting.

Yeah thats not a bad idea in theory but it would mean people would keep shooting ya since their unsure if your in the game or not.,lol holding your hand up in the ir gets boring.,

We can think of creative ways around that. Don't they use little flags in the place in Sweeden thatdoes games with 1200 people?
