    hi, I need a Mechanic to look over a car I'm looking at. The car is on the southside of dublin in the loughlinstown area, anyone any contacts.

    Don't know about a mechanic, but you can ask the owner if you can bring the car to a garage which specialises in car checks.

    There is a website called carbuyerscheck.com who will call out to the seller's place to check the car over. Don't know what they're like, but they charge 165 euro for it.

    Would rather go to a garage myself, frank fahey's on the Naas road would also do car checks IIRC
