    2-3 weeks in my experience.

however i think they can come through the door up to 6 months after the offence.

Got flashed by camera on the N3, 110/100kph... 7 weeks later a nice photo of my reg plate arrived with an €80 fine.. 4 points now... Insurance company dont care as long as I dont go over 6 points...
Maybe if there was a genuine move made to improve safety on our roads we'd be looking at fewer deaths rather than a nice revenue stream...

Doesn't do any harm to ring them & see if you're reg is on the system awaiting processing; 01 6668500.

I had to ring recently following a speeding violation, thankfully (for me) they didn't re-issue the points notice as requested & it has now been withdrawn. Sometimes it does really pay to hold up your hands & pray they mess up in the processing!

I was told 2 weeks. took 3 months to receive in post and they were dated from when i recieved the post not when the offence occured. Very pissed off. I had even accepted responsibility and paid up on the day of the offence.

Got caught in October, got points 5 months later.

Got got in January, got points a month later.

Both times stopped by cops who had been waiting in side roads with speed guns...

Would the fixed/gatso ones be more automated and therefore quicker then if you were stopped and had to wait for a garda to do his paperwork i wonder? Seems to be a big margin from peoples experiences.

    Mine was a fixed jobbie...
I can only hope it gets the treatment as of others on N3... Burned Out with tyre round its neck

Just because one doesn't hear anything doesn't mean that one has't been fined/has points pending. Just make sure that your car registration and licence address reflect your current address.
