Does anyone else agree that this whole theory of energy efficiency is wasted because of the female of the species?

I mean for instance, guys are more inclined to get up and walk/cycle to somewhere a short distance away than a girl who doesnt want toget her hair wet/windswept and will take the car. Thus adding to our CO2 count unnecessarily.

Also, all those cosmetic products etc that they use. I mean its all well and good me turning my lights off when leaving a room, but sadly i feel that its all futile when compared with the damage that they do.

There are exceptions of course. Im sure that alot of gals in dublin might walk the extra bit in lieu of waiting for a bus/sitting in traffic, but outside of the urban centres, i think that alot of women out there should hang their heads in shame.

Sorry to sound contraversial, but the facts are there for all to see.

And I don't think you are sorry for being controversial. (with an "o")

But think about the farting done by guys that contributes to greenhouse gasses, and women never fart.

Don't knock the ladies! They're great!

Anyway, as for the entire kyoto thing, what's the point of us signing up for someting that isn't adhered to by most of the really large nations who are becoming industrialised and mobile at a fast rate. Do we really think we'll shame Indai, China and the US into following our example? Not likely and, in any case, it's unfair to expect developing nations to sign up to standards we've flouted for so long ourselves.

I think it's a case of closing the barn door after the horse has bolted when nobody else seems to care about the barn or the horse in the first place.

That is absolute nonsense, Women keep us warm at night and help us keep snug and they replaced water bottles. Everyones da drove a bigger car than their ma, the bigger the car the more it caused pollution and the more energy getting it manufactured.Men love cars aeroplanes and boats or anything with an engine. We use more deodorants.Perfume deosn't harm the environment but deodornt does. Hairspray (do they still sale that) = shaving foam for men.
We love energy guzzling system's and gadgets.Women are and have always been closer to Mother Nature. Who hangs the clothes out, women.

Ya, i have to agree with the OP. My missis insists on boiling a full kettle everytime, for just 1 cuppa. Also she's hopeless at lighting the fire and uses half the pack of firelighters each time she lights the fire.
