ok.. i've seen a blu ray drive for the mac pro that i want but i only have a Macbook & an iMac. is there any external enclosures that take the mac pro drives and gives me a firewire out?? i'll even deal with a usb out!!

heres the drive if it makes any odds.. http://store.fastmac.com/product_info.php?products_id=337

You need to shift a lot of data to write a BD so Firewire would be the preferred option as its sustained transfer rate is better than USB2.0 despite the claims.

    Something like this perhaps ?

I'm sure there are others closer to home - Google is your friend.

    Example 1.

    Example 2.

    There's also this - I like Lacie stuff :)
