Looks really cool, the new set is supposed to be for the "new era" of HD!! on a side note , is there any place in dublin which shows PPVS or will have them IN HD ???

The set does look quite nice from the brief glance you get at it. I'll see tomorrow when I watch Raw.

It sounds like it's going to be very similar to the SNME set. I don't put much emphasis on sets though, I'm sure whatever it is will be fine

From the Observer (spoilered in case anyone's really looking forward to seeing it!):
The set has a large red protruding oval in front of a larger rectangular silver base. There is a large screen above the walk-out area and two smaller oval screens to the right and left of the ramp. The ramp itself is unchanged, although it looks cleaner than usual. They have been testing pyro on and off all day. In addition to pyro shooting up from the set, there is pyro shooting forward a small distance from the large oval screen. Pyro was tested today for ring entrances for HHH and Chris Jericho. The HHH pyro was gold and shot in a circular pattern. Jericho had his usual pyro in addition to double-shooting pyro from the oval screen. The set is considerably larger. The same set is being used now for all three brands

I have to say, I am excited about a new set. Especially for RAW. How many years have they had it that way? I think it gives the respective show a fresh feel when they have a new set installed. Im just wondering though...are they going to be using the same set for all three shows just changing the colour theme to suit each brand?

Looking pretty lush so far, but will it not be a much bigger strain on the crew to use the set on all 3 shows.

Does Raw not often take place in a city a fair bit away from the city where Smackdown/ECW is taking place?

I wonder does this now raise the bar for the PPV sets. I would imagine Mania should be something massive this year if its outdoors in a stadium.

I'd say they'll use two different sets, but they'll just look the same

I really like it, id say its very distracting to the live audience though seems like itd draw your attention away from the matches

Khali vs Mark Henry...oooohh look at the preeeety lights :)

When I heard about the set, I remembered WM20 where there was a screen built into the floor...I was thinking that the new set up would be something similar.

But i still think its pretty cool :)

So... Am I the only one who hates the new set?

Also, there is only one set. They (the crew) have said that it takes them two and a half hours to take down, and get on the road, so they have plenty of time to get to SmackDown!.

RAW and SmackDown! rarely travel too far away from each other.

I really miss the old sets. The same set for three shows is crap, and a giant flashing blob at one od of the arena tends to distract from whats going on in the ring a little too much.

I wish something happened and this tron had to be scrapped :)
