zip code on ebay issue

I have used ebay for a few years now and have not changed my address or contact details registered with them over this time. Tonight I am trying to pay for something I have bought and when I go to confirm my shipping address it's telling me my zip code, Eire, is invalid. This is still on the ebay site. It's not a paypal problem. I have tried entering 0000 etc but theyre all rejected. Is anyone else having a problem with this ? What zip code should I be using here ?
Thanks to anyone with any answers! :)

Well seeing as Zip codes haven't been introduced here yet it shouldn't be a problem. Are you on the ebay.ie site?

Are you going through some sort of Checkout system that the seller uses? I've never had to enter my address, or confirm it, on eBay, it always uses the address supplied by Paypal. If the seller uses a checkout then you often have to enter one.

Use 00000 as Zip code, that always works for me.
edit: oops, I see you did try the zeros. Don't know after that, don't even know why eBay would be asking this before you get to tha payment section.

The problem is now solved. The seller did use a checkout but it wouldn't accept my saved ebay details. Once I removed the postcode altogether however it worked fine. I tried everything but that initially... doh :)
Thanks to you both for the replies :)
