New Dealer Training Sessions

    Hi all,

I am still getting lots of emails about dealer training sessions.

Because of the last fiasco (4 people confirmed attendance for a session in the Jackpot and then never showed up even though I dragged my severely hungover self over to the smelly South of the city) I will be running training sessions from my house on the good old salt of the earth North side of the city.

If you are interested in receiving dealer training it is free (there will be a charge for tea/coffee and Jaffa Cakes) through Poker Ireland. Sessions normally last one to one and a half hours. I will set up a table in my kitchen and take it from there.

If you think you need more practice you can always come to the next session but most people leave armed with enough knowledge and just need to practice before plying their trade.

Email stephen@pokerireland.ie to arrange a suitable time.

The idea behind this training session is so that we can easily staff the next IPO which will have a minimum of 1,200 players taking part. It is not mandatory to work for us (we would just really appreciate it if you are good enough :)) and you will most likely find work with various tournament organisers around the country.

    Hi all,

These went reasonably well last Wednesday.....The two guys that showed had a lot of experience with poker so it was all good......

I have been contacted by a beginner this week so just want to let everyone know that the next session will be Wednesday 13th Feb in Santry, D.9. It will start at 8pm and would be more suited to beginners but everything will be covered.

Just a quick reminder that this is going ahead this Wednesday....Only three confirmed so far.....

We'll be covering everything from the basics to chip races and maybe even a bit of cash game training.
