    This happened on betfair the other night. Dam i wish i had been online !!!

    here's what happened..........

    somwhere between midnight and 6am the other night/morning.....

    a 6pak SNG ended.... not unremarkable.... but wait....

    the winner got the standard 1st place prize money (of whatever it was for that stake SNG)

    the 2nd place person got the 2nd place prize money.

    AND THE 3RD, 4TH, 5TH AND 6TH PLAYERS ALSO GOT 2ND PLACE PRIZEMONEY!!!

    obv chaos ensued.... with people testing it out again and moving up to the largest stakes possible.

    they were just all going all in every hand as they were GUARANTEED TO PROFIT!

    supposedly around 20 players took part/advantage.

    the high stakes 6paks were on fire for hours. hundreds were played."

    "A glitch in the software had been identified.

    Anyway my understanding is that from 3-6am on Thursday night 100s of 6 paks were played where everyone went all in 1st hand. Each time winner was paid and all 5 others were paid as 2nd due to the glitch that had been identified. These were all 1000$ games.

    It seems Betfair paid out 1.7$ million during this period. Im sure this story will run and run and will be interesting to follow what happens to the funds. "

    Betfair overpayed my bonus to me one week and next time I deposited they took it all back.
    I doubt the players who made big will be back on the site, but if they deposit again betfair will suck it back up.

    Yeah from reading a bit deeper into the thread it doesn't seem to have ended well for the players that got involved. I think the talk is those that those who got the moniez out will have a law suit on their hands if its not returned.

    I think betfair may even be looking for compenstation from them.

    was talking about this and wondering did anyone actually get to withdraw money? I doubt if the money is still in their accounts that it will be left there
