I took up a membership of Slievenamon last year, went down, got a buggy and played 3 rounds in one day with a mate. Got my handicap card in the post a week later.

Think it was in the region of 200 euros.

I hear Helens Bay offer a cheap distance membership option too.

Where exactly is he looking to play?
You'll pay 165 for Ballymote and 180 for Tubber for the year.

Corballis is only abou 375. he'd have the option of actually playing on it the odd time too.

I'm joining Elm Green this evening. I think it's going to be 500 or so. My reasoning was that instead of tossing 300 on getting a handicap and no access to competitions etc, I may as well spend the extra and actually get a calender of events for my money, which sees me getting out more frequently.
