If you are doing an honours degree what' the grading system in GMIT?
    i.e. What's an A1, A2, B1, B2, etc.?
And what do you need to average to get an 1.1, 2.1 etc degree etc.

    2.1 is 60-70 and 2.2 is 55-60

There is also a weighting given to each subject, usually important subjects are awarded 6 credits, less important subjects are given 3 credits. Some subjects, such as a major project are given 12 credits. Whether you get a 1.1, 2.1, 2.2 etc, depends not only on the average percentage mentioned above, but also what each subject is worth. I'm not sure exactly how it works, but 65% in a 6 credit subject is better mark than 65% in a 3 credit subject for the purposes of determining 1.1, 2.1 etc.
