hi all been up to woodies and thet are very intrested in getting a match organised together. with subs 5 max. and its mixed if the women of the gaa boards want to play. the list of players i have is as follows

    1.Blackbelt
    2.Tomthepost
    3.Nalced_Irl
    4.PrideFighter
    5.Waylander
    6.KdjaCL
    7.Alany
    8.Villains77
    9.gerire
    10.Aidan24326
    11.HolyMolyHS
    12 dave doyle

    13 Jazzy J

we also need 4 or 5 subs need to confirm the teams as soon as i can. need to get a start with training and getting to know the team. can you get back to me if you want to play or have mates that want ot play aswell. The sooner we can have a training session the better prepared we be for the match against the soccer forum. we all dont want to be humiliated of the pitch by the soccer forum. and at the end of the day it a bit of fun for us all to get to meet other members from boards. and make new friends. well hope to see you all at the friendly games. well regards to all

I'll play up front, on the wing or in goal. Also full back if push comes to shove.

You sound like a central midfielder in the mould of reo-coker to me!!!

or a marlon harwood up front great goal by him last night. pity both that lanky bean pole getting the equaliser. and costing me the loss of a ton at the bookies. well we didnt lose and for once gerrard was quite in a game and didnt get a free that never was. see you all at the friendly matches.:D

We better be careful or the old school GAA heads will be looking for us to get kicked out. Kevin Doyle (the former Wexford GAA Star) is on his way to Villa I hear.

well i believe it when i see him in the villa colours. heard bout that aswell as defoe, id really like duff to sign for us think he no good at newcastle he needs a manager to get the best out of him, hope to see the villians against the lower small heath team in april if i get the time off form my course. well if they want to win the gaa v soccer match they would want there best players in the team in that case. back to the topic in hand woodies are keen to play us and no problems getting 11 together with a few subs. the dates could be a problem as some of the players would be workking till 6/7 on a sat and 6.30 on a sunday
what the best time to suit are team id play anytime. anybody know if the mount temple pitches are for rent some night if we could get a pitch with floodlights that would sort out the problem of getting the whole team together. be good to play under lights. be hearing from a few of the woodies lads tonight at the gym. so id report back tonight or tmrrw.

On a good day I'll bang in loads, on a bad day I'll just graft for the team. I'm thinking Villa are a good outside bet for a CL place with a manager as good as O'Neill, pace in Young and Agbonlahor and defensive stability that is as good as the top 4 I'm thinking of putting a few quid on them doing the business.

I’m a soccer player on the mould of Paul Gasgoine...no not the one with more tricks than Paul Daniels. The one that drinks 2 bottles of Jack Daniels before a match.

Seriously looking forward to this guys but I need to see if I can compete at whatever level this is. I haven’t actually ran in about a year. More worried about embarrassing myself at this stage.

whats the story any more players that want to play in the friendly matches that we dont have on the list above. if we want to put in a performance against the soccer lads we need all the players we can get. and a few friendly matchs for practise. we have to be thinking of getting a few training sessions in just to meet and get to know the players. are you up for the match or are we wasting out time trying to organise matchs for you not to bother your arses to turn up.

Is it the Monday factor or the 1-1 draw that has upset you:eek:

    I know I dont post back in here too much but I do read and am still interested and in winter training (alcohol & road running);

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,729 ✭✭✭Pride Fighter

I am playing football out in UCD (superleague= pub team). I trained some interval sprints today and was knackered. But I'll be fit for this for sure, regardless of position.

Whats happening on this front lads? Boardeaux's season ends in 3 weeks so anytime after that would be good to get a game going
