Hi we recently bought a new hp printer at work.Want to set it up as a network printer.i was able to print of the configuartion page..conect it to a network cable and get an ip address...
however i want to be able to change that ip address to a different one...
i logged onto to the internet with the ip address..however when i tried to change to a different ip address and save the changes..it was asking me for a username and password...does hp printers come with a standard username and password when you try to change the settings?

Try guest for the username and leave the password field blank.

    What model is it btw?

Chances are it's ADMIN with no password. That was the default on all the HP network printers I've configured anyway.

Unless you set a password leave it blank.

    Should work fine.
