Sorry if this has been discussed already, but I've heard extremely discouraging rumours that COD5 will revert back to a WWII setting. I love all of the CODs, including COD3, but I thought the change to Modern Warfare came at just the right time and reverting to WWII would be a step in the wrong direction. This is all sourced to a Treyarch job ad calling for a level designer with a liking for WWII shooters. Probably old news but interesting noonetheless (and very discouraging).

lol CoD 4 is barily out of the gates and there is already talk of the next game . Can't people be happy with , and enjoy what they have .

I liked cod3 got it for the 360 and finished in about a day.. Had nice graphics and story was ok..

They should do something like a swat team or mercenaries kinda style game.. Something with atleast modern weapons.

Have you played or seen anything about CoD 4 ?? It uses modern weapons , it is set in the present day.

it is true. this was the case months ago, before cod4 was released. the issue is cod6. treyarch do what they're told, IW at least have some pull with activision and can negotiate their own paths to an extent.. but if cod5 does really well, activision won't want to take too many risks. their entire success depends on cod and guitar hero. risk could spell disaster for them

lol ive finished the game about 4 times and ive 1000 points in the 360 version... I play it almost everynight online aswell haha I type my post all wrong.

I should have said I wanted to keep it modern lol :rolleyes:

This begs the question why did you get the game for 360 when you have such a great PC?

finally someone agrees!! the world war games have been retro for years!! just boring doing the same type of game over and over again! COD4 is excelent fair pay to them for that!

I can't think of a single game based on WWI .

Either way they made their reputation on the WWII aspect and it is obviously something that sells . I am sure you will have a lot of COD fans wanting a WWII update seen that COD 2 wasn't great and they also messed up with the 'no cheat protection' on release . So for those fans , me included , it is COD UO since the last decent multiplayer .

Well if treyarch have been given COD 5, infinity ward must already be working on COD6.I'm surprised that treyarch have been given it again after COD3....

I've never actually bothered playing CoD before, so it speaks volumes about IW that I actually went out and bought this gmae. I am suprised and dissappointed that they will not be making the follow up .

My pc is broke at teh moment.. well ive only 1gb ram working singleplayer doesn't play very well at all on 1gb im going get once its sorted its been like this since before it was out
