anyone gotany great drills that did wonders for their game?

i know not all drills wud suit everyone due to difference in swings/tendencies but some might find a drill or 2 useful/

prob the one that works best for me is stopping halfway during my backswing to make sure im on the right plane

I'm not the biggest person but I actually drive the ball a decent length. As a junior I saw David Leadbetter give a lesson on shifting your weight correctly. Basically stop at the top of your swing, all your weight should be on your right side (try lifting your left leg off the ground,if it takes considerable movement your not getting all your weight over), then continue your swing & at the finish try the opposite & lift your right leg off the ground..

Worked wonders for me but it's all about slowly adding these weight shifts to your swing..timing is everything. Hope that makes sense

Concentrating on the weight shift always makes me sway as I overdo it.......I guess my hips move laterally.

I guess what I mean to say is that you think you are doing something correctly but often you need a lesson so that somebody can see where you are going wrong.

I'd certainly stick to simple drills if you're working on your own. "Shaking hands with the hole" is always good for pitching 20-50 yards. Holding a short follow through and checking to see if your right hand is in the "shake-hands" position. It stops you shunting your hands way ahead of the ball or flicking through with your wrists. Once you get a feel for it, then incorporate it into your proper follow through.

Also for this kind of pitch practice, get two gloves and tuck them under each armpit. Get your sand wedge or wedge and pitch without letting the gloves fall out. It promotes the use of the trunk of your body as the core of your swing - your body and shoulders turn and your arms just follow with little effort. It's called "dead arms". That kind of body turn is relevent to every club up to driver but only try the gloves with short clubs. It's great - feels like the power is coming from your torso.
