broadtalk ATA unlock

    I have a useless broadtalk 4 port router/ATA which is now useless since broadtalk are so crap and ive moved over to Freespeach. Can anyone (Or me) unlock this ATA so i can use it with any voip provider?

    It's probably some generic ata that broadtalk customised - see if you can find any model info on it in the admin interface through your browser or on the box itself and do a search on google.

    Sometimes the supervisor credentials get leaked online, sometimes its possible to 'trick it into updating' the firmware from a source other than the broadtalk servers.

    Successfully unlocked an American Lingo box myself a while back and have been using with the mysipswitch ever since without issues.

    Is there a seial/model number on the ata itself?

    When you go into the management application through your browser is there any information there about the model, firmware?

    Its a doro ata with 4 lan ports on the back. cant find it on the net.

    no nothing on the casing of the ATA, ill find a LAN cable and try and access the web interface. I lent my spare network cable out as my network at home is wireless!
