viewsonic N3235W and sky+

    I was given the above at a good price( I thought) I gave away my exist 32 sony crt which I was quite happy with. I am having trouble getting the picture good, its like looking through a milk bottle. I have looked on the web and saw settings for best picture but still no good. Its connected to sky+ with a scart.
    Video menu--
    Picture mode: User
    Brightness: 53
    Contrast: 12
    Color: 41
    Tint: -8

    The model is actualy N3246W

    Any ideas other than get my old crt back...

    a viewsonic LCD is never going to look as good as a Sony crt did.

    you can tweak the picture slightly but it will never be as good

    As it's connected to Sky via Scart, make sure that RGB is enabled (Settings > System Setup > Picture Settings), and that of course that the output is set to 16:9
