currently the ram timings are loose and the frequency is only 880.

whenever I increase the frequency on the ram I get this error message trying to load vista.
i mean I'm talking very small amount increases here ones xp handles very easily..like 920 or so.

as soon as i put it back to 880 it boots.

    any ideas?
Xp had no issues with my current hardware setup.

I think its these ballistix sticks.
Never got them over 920 no matter what I throw at them.
ah well tomorrow should have a pair of pc8500 so will see how far they go.

Actually thats a lie cause I'm checking my records and I had them at 960 on this board with loose timings 5,5,5,12

Maybe I'm beeing too agresive with the overclock and should take smaller steps.

use memtest to test the ram.

Ya, dont overclock ram without testing it, you'll corrupt windows.
