Well done to TG4 and all concerned with this new show. It shows that quality drama can be produced for what is probably a fraction of what RTE wastes on the likes of Fair City. Good believable scripts, none of the usual stilted dialogue seen in Irish drama. Well acted and directed and shot.

Apparently it had a budget of over a million euro.

Thats big budget for TG4 but still paltry by International standards. The series budget might get you an episode and a half of the Clinic.
Not a lot more per episode than the recent critically ashamed show that shall not be named either. Lessons there for everyone...........

Watched the first two episodes of it. It's a very, very average soap opera. Not much more...

I stumbled upon this a couple of weeks ago and have watched the last couple of episodes.

I like it. I think there is plenty of room for improvement but the potential in this programme is huge.

Sure, the stories are a bit cliched so far but the performances of all the actors have been excellent. And as it has only been on for a few episodes, there is plenty of time for the stories to be developed and enhanced.

At the moment, I think it is better than anything RTE has to offer.

I watched an episode as an Irish speaker. Thought it wasn't very good to be honest.

    Hammy script and hammier acting.

Maybe I should have given it another chance but I found the characters so annoying the first time round I couldn't face seeing them again.

I think both script and acting are amazing, and I too watched it as a Gaeilgeoir. It's on a par with Skins and is easily one of the best shows Irish television has ever produced. RTÉ rarely have anything this good - not since Bachelors Walk anyway.
