Dish Options for FTA in Cork

Hi, already have a universal LNB and FTA receiver and no dish so trying to decide what the options are for a dish, pros/cons of each and whether the information I've gleaned from other posts is reliable. Also looking for feedback about where to get my hands on gear in Cork.

Option 1) Mesh Sky Minidish Zone 2
    - Can't use existing LNB?
    - "Sky Dish Pack" seems to be going for about EUR60 including LNB. National Satellite and DMC in Cork seem to be two potential sources.
    - Word is that mesh dishes rust quickly and perform no better in windy conditions compared to solid dishes. Triax catalogue shows a solid version of the dish but I'm damned if I can find anywhere that sells them, nor have I ever seen them in use. Any thoughts
    - To my eye an eliptical dish looks better when installed and seems to offer less suraface area to the wind (be it a mesh or solid dish)

    Option 2) 60cm circular dish
    - Can use my existing LNB
    - Any sites selling FTA dishes seem to offer this option
    - Dwyers sell a powder coated steel dish for ~EUR30 dwyers.ie
    - My concern with a steel dish is that it'll be heavy to mount (but get suitable mountings and fixings is the solution to that I guess) and may rust in time.
    - Any point in trying to source an aluminium dish? Lighter and won't ever rust. Any difference in signal?
    - Triax seem to have a good rep, any thoughts? Alternatives?

    Thanks.

I'd go for Option 2. I do like the Triax dishes myself, and suggest maybe the TD64, which is a 64cm dish. Of course, there are other good makes of dishes too, but Triax is generally easy enough found?

satellite.ie sell the triax dish for about fifty quid. Not sure what postage would be to cork but u could check it out....the triax stuff really is the best....i've put a few of them up and you really can feel the quality straight out of the box!!

Thanks for the tips. Haven't seen Triax anywhere in Cork, have seen them on satellite.ie alright, but I don't really know where to go for gear, part of the reason for this post. Maplin, from what I recall offer Fortec solid dishes and to be honest I've always found them expensive for most other things, but worth a go anyhow.

Maplin have 90cm Fortec dishes (galvanized steel) on 'special offer' for €50 until Jan 22nd.

Dwyers dish is ok but go for triax and go for a 78cm one as your at it to be honest from satellite.ie if its your own house and get a decent bracket from dwyers too, maybe the k and t type brackets (to the right of the chimney stuff!). Maplin are rip off compared.Steel is fine, not that heavy and mine is in a wind tunnel and no problems. Don't buy cheap dish and bracket!!

Gibertini do aluminium dishes - but they're big. And expensive. I don't think they make them below 80cm.

A friend of mine recently bought a triax dish for Astra2/Eurobird in one of the satellite shops in Mallow
