Have the misfortune to be watching Tubridy show. Z list "celebrity" of the week on tonight is that waste of space Brian Dowling hawking his new "celebrity" clip show starting next week on RTE. Gems from the show include the rarely seen clips of Boyzones first outting on the Late Late and an unknown Colin Farrell line dancing. I can't wait !!!!!!!!

    I agree.

Crap, Crap and more Crap RTE churns out.
Nearly as Crappy as some of the outfits Ann Doyle wears reading the news.:p

He has done as much as most people. What criteria does one need to meet to have a tv show?

He's not as annoying as that other flaming Irish queen Brendan "I wear a rug" Courtney tho. Actually come to think of it he's also less annoying that than that other flaming Irish queen Graham "I wear a rug" Norton.

So he's 3rd most annoying in the the list of flaming Irish queens. Get those two off tv first and then focus on this twonk.

He does this 2 minute long ad for a bingo website on information tv that does my head in. I feel like punching him in the face.

He looks like a really insecure guy who is desperate to be famous, and I have an intense dislike for anyone whose sole purpose in life is fame.

I believe this is a spin of to "So You Want to be A politican?" which was presented by Ardle O'Hanalon.

If like that show it is a total piss take. AFAIK.

But knowing the type of people that they will get to speak on the show, it will become very serious in a bad way.

Z list celebs cann't take the piss out of themselves.

I can just picture it now, Dowling playing the Boyzone clip and saying something "outrageous" and "bitchy" about it.

Not a chance in hell will I be watching it, the guy is absolutley terrible in everything he ever does.

I totally agree and its good to see Brian Dowling getting a show on Rte primetime. He's done very well for himself !
He's never been obsessed with celebrity status - never went down the route of selling his soul to the papers to maintain his profile. It takes more than that to sustain a career and 7 years on its good to see him still in demand on both sides of the Irish Sea and obviously enjoying it all. He seems very well grounded.

I'm probably gonna be accused of being homophobic here, which i'm not, but the guys career is based on his whole look at me i'm gay, camping it up routine. I wouldn't say he has 2 brain cells to rub together. Things are starting to dry up in the UK so he's back here to drag the arse out of it and the sad thing is some people in RTE will think its great to have the UK "big name" star back and shove him in our faces at any opportunity.
The other big issue with this show is who oh why do they think anybody in the country gives a toss what Fiona Looney or Amanda Brunker think about "celebrity", especially in this country where we don't have any showbiz stars. Why don't they all just hire a room in Lillies and entertain themselves and keep the licence fee money for something less vacuous and more in the public interest. Leave this **** to TV3.

Oh no I saw a bit of it today! He made the most obvious, painfully unfunny remark about "giving them one", then it cut back to him looking like a mixture between a transexual and a real life doll.

I really wanted to punch him.

    Is that wrong?

Hmm you could be labelled a gay basher. Well worth it though.

God, I saw a bit of it last night. Has he had plastic surgery done? Granted, he had been covered in orange paint, so it didn't help, but he just didn't look like a natural human. It's like he had botox in every single part of his face. It was bizarre.

Saw this on Thurs night and said the same thing. This is AWFUL and what makes me angry is that I am paying a TV license for this. Xpose on TV3 is a lot worse but at least I'm not paying for it. These are the two worst shows on Irish TV at the minute.

Another great example of crap irish telly!

I think the sight of Amanda Brunker commenting on how to become a celebrity and how she became more celebrated than your average joe journalist far more annoying.
    Stupid untalented bitch
