    Hi,

We have a few films on our laptop that we would like to watch on our television. Does anyone know how to connect the laptop to our tv?

    Thanks in advance!

There is usually a combination of Fn key (bottom-left, usually a different colour) and Function key (F1-F12 along the top of the keyboard) that will send output to the tv. On my Dell, it is Fn-F8.

Failing that, right-click on the desktop and go to display settings, you will be able to enable it in there.

you need a tv with vga port

you can get multi media hard disk players, some with wireless or lan connections. Or dvd players that play back media files from a usb stick (lidl or aldi have one this thursday i think)

Probably yes. Usually drives need to be formatted to fat32... the thread in bargain alerts forum might give you more information about what would work

thank you all for your advice. I ended up buying the dvd player from Lidl and play everything via my memory stick. I will build a new computer soon with everything ready to go to make it a media centre. I think my laptop is too old or i miss certain drivers. cant get it to work on two monitors. My comp can but not my laptop. Again thanks for the quick reply's!!
