Im looking to buy a plasma as I'm not too impressed with lcd's. I've looked at Panasonic's, Samsungs and Philips. The question I'm really asking is do Philips deliver as a good quality, well priced screen as there competitiors?

The two Philips models im interested in are the 42pfp5532d and 50pfp5523d. Some feedback from people who bought these models would be much appreciated.

    Thanks

I have a philips 42pf cant remember if its 5501 0r 5351 or something like that (its stuck to the wall in the bedroom cant read it )..I hate it..severly dissappointed even though going by the spec it should have been quite good..Had it in the sitting room for a month and got sick of it .. bought a 5o inch pioneer ..I can honestly say it was worth every penny (or cent) ..there is no Comparison..reccomend you Buy a Pioneer and be done with it..:D

Very happy with my Panasonic. Best quality from a Fujitsu or a Pioneer but at a premium, Panasonic excellent quality for a decent outlay (Samsung pretty good too), the rest ....meh!

Yep agree with everything said here:
Fujitsu = Best of the best (ultra expensive)
Pioneer = Best Pro-Consumer TV (expensive)
Panasonic = Best Consumer TV (affordable and top quality)

That 42"philips 5532 on the amazon site get fairly good 6 customer reviews. and costs under a grand. i wonder actually how good/bad it is as a hd ready tv?

Only one problem with this sites reviews of tellys - there is not any bad ones!

Lads ive seen this tv for as low as €799.

    Has anyone got one.
