just looking for some advice i was looking at this aeg on ehobby asia http://cgi.ebay.com/D-BOYS-AKS-74U-KALASH-Airsoft-AEG-Rifle-410FPS-DB-RK01_W0QQitemZ270198844746QQihZ017QQcategoryZ64635QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItem

    got 2 questions.

1.would this aeg be ok to use here in ireland as it has 410 fps?
2.i wonder would i get caught for vat with customs?

i emailed them and asked how much for shipping to ireland and the said it would be $55:00.

    any advice much appreciated thanks.

Its not legal if its fireing at 410fps with a .2g BB
so No would be the answer to yer first query.
Even if you did get away with it if you wanted
to skirmish most places wiill test the fps on the device
    to ensure its legal.

Ya take your chances with customs fees I've only
got hit Once in my entire life and I have been ordering
stuff online for the last 17 years.

One of the Irish online stores should be able to
get you an AK-74 thats legal and cheap!!

I suggest you read the newbie sticky at the top of the forum. It details the specifics about the law.

The rifle MUST be under 1 joule of power. The standard measurement for this is 328fps with a .20g bb.

edit: 1 joule is 1 joule no matter what weight bb you use. If the rifle is shooting 410fps on that site (they'd be measuring that with a .20g bb) then it'll be over 1 joule full stop.
