Finally getting up on my arse to go boxing. I'm starting a little late at 25, but I've no aspirations of being a world champ and just want to get fit and work on my hands a little. Will update after my first session with feedback!

Stuff the not wanting to be a champ attitude. :D

Anthony Mundine turned pro at 25 and he only had 4 amateur fights when in his late teens. His is in his second stint of holding the WBA supermiddleweight title.

Fair play to you though, It is a great way to stay fit and to discipline yourself.

Ah well Kess, if I win the title - I'll dedicate it to you for having faith in me! :D

I hope you are not saying to him that his aspiration should to be like Anthony Mundine!!!!!

Is that a knock on Mundine?

Anthony Mundine is quite a nice guy, I have had the pleasure of being in his company, and that of his father, a number of times, and have nothing but good to say about him.

The guy does not suffer fools easily and at times walks himself into strife with his views, especially those on racial matters. His 9/11 comments were ill timed and naive imho, but I prefer to listen to a man that says what he means when he speaks than those who say what they think others want to hear.

I think over here in Ireland, people do not grasp how big the racial divides are in Australia.

If Mundine is taken purely on what he is like in the ring, then he is easily in the top five Supermiddleweights on the planet, which is amazing considering how short a time he has been a pro fighter.
