I only heard about this a while ago and it sounds too good to be true. Can you get the tax back on all your rent?

Supposing you're in the 40% tax bracket and pay €500 a month rent (€6,000 a year). Does this mean you get €2,400 back at the end of it?

Anyone have any experinces / advice?

Looks like you can only claim the tax off whatever amount they set which is €2,000 for 2008. So you can only get 20% of that which is €400. :(
