    Hi All

I really need a good tripod, I buy Digital photo magazine every month and in the last edition the Manfrotto 055XPROB won the overall test of several tripods. I know absolutely nothing about tripods but I trust the magazine decision. Has anybody got this tripod and would they recommend it, also I would need a good head but I don't know what type or make to look for

    Regards Fireman

    I have one of those

    it is fantastic

BUT, its a bit heavy, so if you want it for long walks maybe get the carbon fiber one

as far as its use, its very solid. it is quite tall too which i like as i am tall
