Our first floor consists of plywood on 9x3 joists. We are considering the installation of a wet room on this floor. Also installation of underfloor heating over whole floor (not just in wetroom). Would be grateful for recommended options.

I know there is a 'paint' of sorts that will seal a wet room. the name escapes me at the minute. AFAIK it works fine, it was used last year on apts that i was working on.

I believe it was applied to marine ply then tiled on top.

If i manage to come across it again i'll stick it up here.

Some useful info here. Especially this pdf document.

I'd say your thinking of the Bal Tanking System.

Heard mixed reports on UFH upstairs, depends on the flooring type (joist/plywood or hollowcore slabs etc).
You could consider for your bathroom areas an undertile heating mat such as devimat
