IMDB: He was a quiet man

Ok just finished watching this movie.

First off, wow, excellent acting on the part of Christian Slater. There where parts where I didn't even believe it was him he fitted into his role so well. Secondly, yay!... Elisha Cuthbert boobies :D jk, but maybe the knowledge that they are shown in this movie might get more people to watch it ;)

The reason I started this thread though is not to review it but discuss that ending??? Now i've watched American Psycho and Donny Darko and got the ending straight away, heck this is the first movie that's ever given me a bit of a headache trying to decipher it? I've tried looking up about it on the internet and been met with an equally large wall of confusion.
Can someone just explain where reality stopped and the fiction started, when did this whole delusion begin? Did he play it all out in his mind in work? Was the ending the delusion of reality or vice versa? if the whole movie was made up in his head, why did he make it up?

    Opinions anyone?

I watched it last night. I didn't spot all the things the spoiler mentioned but i had a fair idea of what was really going on throughout the film.

Watched it there last night. It's an ok film. Thought it was a good performance from Slater alright. Certainly not his typical role. It was a let down for me though and towards the middle and the end I was losing interest in it.

I watched it yesterdya but was only half paying attention. The cast was fantastic, with Slater turning in one of the finest performances of the year thus far. At times you would be hard pressed to register that this is the star of Heathers under all that make up. The ending was a slight disappointment, though the concept of reality versus imaginary was deftly handled. Hopefully Slater will begin taking more serious roles and leave dregg like Churchhill the Hollywood Years behind him.
