DVD Player not reading mini -disc

Recording video footage using Sony 1.4GB DVD+RW Mini Disks on Sony DVD camcorder Model No DCR-DVD105E.
Playing them back on Tevion 7” Twin Screen DVD (in car) Player – Model No. 3976.
Recently some disks would not play. Initially “LOADING” & then “NO DISK” message. Now all disks including normal DVDs and Cleaning disk will not play. I tried a new Phillips Portable DVD Played Model PET707/05 and discs initially played but now the same problem is emerging.

I can still play mini disks on normal DVD player.



Any ideas

did you finalise the mini discs?

some need to be finalised (The minus I think)

Some home DVD players will play them eitherway but not all.

Have done that but no joy.Both players will play the minidisc once, but the error message comes up when I try to play them again. Have saved them to my hd and then burnt them on to a blank dvd but they still wont play only once and the the error message. Could it be anything to do with the camcorder of the formatting therof ?

Weired one alright.

You'd imagine it would either play it or not, but to play it once OK & then the error doesn't make any sense?

The fact that they're finalised means that they can't be written to but can be reformatted (I think?)
