Mail wont open

    I have an ibook g4 running mac os x 10.3.9. When I click on the mail it just bounces and wont open. I ran all software updates on it. Any ideas how to get mail to work. Thanks....

    Have you reapired permissions, then restarted?

    Yes I have tried repairing permisions. In the console log the error is
    Mail[439] Unable to load nib file: MailViewer,

    Ye I read about Pacifist have it installed here now problem is I dont have any installation discs. I'll see if I can get a loan of a disc somewhere?

    You could also try moving the mail preferences file and then try opening it. The file is called: com.apple.mail.plist and you can find it
    <hard disk>/Users/<username>/Library/Preferences/ .

    Just move the file to the desktop and see if the app starts.

    I tried moving that file but it still does the same. i might just do a fresh reload found a few more problems too. I have it 5 years and it was never wiped or anything.
