              Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4 CPU 3.00GHz (2 CPUs)
                 Memory: 510MB RAM
Page File: 478MB used, 4769MB available
            Windows Dir: C:\WINDOWS

    DX Setup Parameters: Not found
         DxDiag Version: 5.03.2600.2180 32bit Unicode

Anyway, as you can see I have a crappy card and while I realise that there isn't much you can do with a dimension 3000 I would like to choose a card and memory that would at least improve things a bit.

So I need PCI memory? And does it have to be DDR yes?

Also, do I even have space, the guy I chatted with on the Dell Customer Service who wasn't very helpful said I have 3 slots [/Noob]

I think I have two available slots:

Agent (Sumathi_Ramalingam): "If you wish you can buy a PCI video card from any local shop as we do not sell them nor support them."

01/18/2008 01:07:53PM Nick: "So is there a slot available for a card?"

01/18/2008 01:09:13PM Agent (Sumathi_Ramalingam): "There are PCI slots. But we cannot assure you if they may or may not support a PCI video card."

01/18/2008 01:09:53PM Nick: "How do I find out?"

01/18/2008 01:10:57PM Agent (Sumathi_Ramalingam): "Do you mean how to find out the PCI slots on the motherboard?"

01/18/2008 01:11:58PM Nick: "I mean, I have PCI slots, if the card is PCI is it likely to work? Is there a slot available?"

01/18/2008 01:12:48PM Agent (Sumathi_Ramalingam): "There are 2 available PCI slots on the machine."

01/18/2008 01:13:28PM Agent (Sumathi_Ramalingam): "And not sure if PCI video cards are likely to work as we haven't tested them on our machines."
