Got this message from Meteor last night:

"Sorry u r (sic) part of a small number of customers wrongly charged on some calls. U (sic) have been credited with EUR0.33 incl 10 per cent extra as goodwill. Meteor"

    Anyone else get this?

Seems a bit weird, I wouldn't even notice something that small.

You mightn't notice but some people would and I'm sure Meteor are just trying to keep things nice and legal.

Yeah, I understand why they're doing it. I'm just a bit puzzled by the 'small number of customers' bit. Seems like it's a fairly massive **** up on their part. Just wondered how widespread it really is, and whether anyone came across it before.

It does happen now and again. It's very rare, maybe once or twice a year.

It would only be a small amount of customers too. Such as customers on a certain billing date or customers who downloaded ring tones on a certain date etc...

Before I say anything I should lay my cards on the table and say that I am a bit of a Meteor fan!!

I say fair play to them! I would not have noticed if 1 Euro left my account over the period of a few months so fair play to them for holding their hands up and giving it back. The extra bit for "goodwill" is appreciated too!

I would rather that the issue never happend to begin with BUT as it did I am happy to be with the sort of honest company that gives the cash back!

    Well done Meteor!

yeah they seem to audit accounts maybe twice a year or when charging errors crop up and it is nice to get it back with interest! i've recieved 5 of these before usually for around €3:)
