    Hi,

I have a Canon Digital Camera - PowerShot A710 IS.

It takes excellent quality photos in daylight but I am having problems taking photos in night time.
I tried setting to night mode but the photos appear too dark.
Also using the flash doesn't make much improvement.

Any ideas? The manual doesn't help much either.

    thanks.

I have the same camera and have taken some brilliant night shots... Try getting a tripod and letting the camera figure out the exposure. Odds are it'll need to expose for a few seconds.
