The latest UK and Ireland Ver 6.75 is shown as 41.95 and reduced by 50% to 29.95. That must be in Kilometres then

They have recently bought TeleAtlas so they must be pushing their new maps. AFAIK TeleAtlas maps are not very good for Ireland so if you still have Navteq(sp?) maps you'd be better off staying with them.

Definitely the Navteq maps are far superior to the TeleAtlas maps for Ireland.

    Hey,

Definitely stick with the the Navteq version of the maps if you have them for the moment...the new Teleatlas (v7.10) maps from TomTom are awful for coverage in Ireland.

I bought the new version from TomTom (for €50 or so) in early january, installed them and have since rolled back to the original version that came with the unit (v6.51) the Teleatlas version was so bad.

Hopefully they'll improve them with the latest release because the Mapshare feature (which allows you to make modifications to points of interest and to the maps themselves directly on the unit, upload your changes and download other users changes as you synchronise with TomTom home) is really nice but unfortunately doesnt work with the earlier Navteq maps!

    R.
