I am going to america for the summer, and i intend to buy a high end racing bike (probably a Trek Madone 5.2) valued somewhere in the region of $3500. Will I be done for customs duty when bringing it back into Ireland? I will use it over the summer so it will not be in original packaging, but it will still look new when i come to bring it back. Any ideas how to avoid paying customs??
