    Hi Folks,

    Just saw an interesting new website for those of you who may be interested in car pooling/ sharing.

    www.swiftcommute.ie

    Looks pretty good compared to the old website set up by Dublin City Council many years back.

    Its a step in the right direction, but it doesn't seem to have attracted to many people with anything to offer ???:(

    Well its better than the one above and the one in operation in East Point Business Park in Fairview. They only have about 140 signed up staff after many years in operation.

    Its early days yet so I am sure if you give it a chance people will sign up for matches with like minded car poolers.

    If the council could see how it works in LA, USA, they have a lane marked with a Diamond which is a dedicated lane for car pool cars only.

    But again DCC and DTO need to appoint a one stop shop for Traffic/ Transport Authority for the Dublin Metropolitian Area , its about long term strategic planning here which is required urgently.
