    Does anyone know if IT can install spell check on personal laptops?

    Spell check as in spell check for Word? It's usually in the default install.

    Not for word 2007 apparently.

    It'd be on the microsoft page,assuming it's a legal version you have.

    I have it as default for office 2007 - it just looks sooo different.

    You might have selected 'customize' and not scrolled down to select it during the install. The best way to do this is uninstall office then reinstall it using the 'Complete' option.
