lost all my data due to format via windows

    hey guys reinstalled windows xp ( modded with some extra programs) when i loaded up i noticed it had allready formated my drive :( ! so i lost all my Data is there anyway to get this stuf back ?

    it wouldn't format the drive unless it specifically ask you would it?

    most important thing is stop using the drive until you run that program, as you may be overwriting the data that can be salvaged.

    Maybe try some unndelete programs. I don't know how much you'll get back though.

    I'm using this software as I type. One of my HDs just stopped working and saying that the drive wasn't formatted. PCInspector found all the files on the disc and is resaving them to my external HD now :)

    aye it's a great little program - surprised they don't charge for it - tbh, got me out of a spot of bother when i accidently formatted my mp3 drive 100 gigs gone by a stupid mistake.

    luckily i had them backed up but this software was more convienant as i didn't have to transfer them back off the backup drive.
