Some decent titles in the Bargain Basement section at cd wow hong kong. If you order through the hong kong site,it works out cheaper than if you order from the Irish site.

    http://www.cd-wow.com.hk/bargain_basement2_2.php?=&page=2#

A lot of titles there are 38 Hong Kong dollars which works out at €3.32,free delivery.

Couldnt find the checkout button, or they weren't added to your cart?
If they weren't added to the cart, make sure you turn your pop up blocker off for cdwow. When you add a dvd to your cart, typically, theres a pop up, asking you to confirm you understand the region coding of the DVD, that must be confirmed before it is added to the cart.

edit: sorry, ignore this. Just tried myself and having the same problem

The pop up appears, and asks to select continue to add the product to my cart. I press continue. The popup disappears. And then i am back to main page but still no cart, or no link to my cart?

Even then when you click continue the pop up closes and the other page loads again no sign of the cart at all. I wonder if it is ip related to stop us from ordering from the HK site?

COULD BE IP related. Its a pity cos i had picked out about 6 DVD's at 3 euro each. Ah well! What you never had, you never miss.

I was having this exact same problem on the .ie site last week. After a lot of messing around I finally got it to work.

Well, the only real options seem to be hold on a while and see if they fix the problem, or...

    http://www.hotukdeals.com/deal/32154/cd-wow-1-25p-voucher-bananalotto

this will give you typically a 50p voucher for use on the UK site, for every email address you have, or more if you use disposable email addresses etc.

the 4.99euro DVDs are 2.99£ on the uk site, so with the vouchers you can get them for £2.50, which according to xe.com/ucc works out at about 3.33euro. Slightly more expensive, but still bloody cheap for a movie you want to watch.

How is 3.33 slightly more 4.99, or am I missing something?

I'm getting the same problem, they might have changed it so you can't buy it cheaper from the Hong Kong site, which is a kick in the teeth. It must be recent as well because I have always been ordering stuff from the HK site, and it works fine. :(

This link should get 75p off dvds, and then using alastair_dooms link for another 50p or so will mean a dvd for £1.74 / €2.40.

Got The Crow, the long kiss goodnight and Interview with the vampire for less than €10... thanks guys:D

Can you use 2 different codes?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 46,718 ✭✭✭✭muffler

    I got the following:

    Saw
    Saw 2 – directors cut
    2 fast 2 furious
    Phone Booth
    Broken Arrow
    Collateral
    3 Kings

Total cost: €20.67 – I had a few vouchers that I used. Sweet

Just for anyone who is interested the following were the prices I paid and the MBNA exchange rate.
    £1.99 = €2.71
    £2.24 = €3.05
    £2.49 = €3.39

You can't use two codes but you can use the 75p discount link I have and then a voucher. Saving up to £1.75.
