    Hi

Anyone know how fastidious the airlines are over a slight name mispelling?

I booked an Aer Lingus flight under the name of Bermingham instead of Birmingham, will i be prevented flying? Will it cost me to change the spelling in advance (24 hours to go).

    Cheers

    TC

they generally allow one or two letters out, so you should be ok.

Officially the names have to match exactly.
Realistically, at a glance they look the same.

Next time, put your ID card in front of you and read from that when you have to spell your name ;)

    Moved.
I'd advise: Quick search, but more importantly: contact Aer Lingus and ask them.

For simple errors, they'll normally change for free if you contact them
