A (presumably) German player has reached the gold limit in game. It is 214,748G 36S 46/47C.

Anyone else think that the limit is surprisingly low? Its a lot of gold and all but for a game that has been running as long as wow you would think that plenty of people would have hit the limit at this stage. Also kind of surprising that its such a strange number. Great achievement all the same.

they explain why its a odd number in the review, its because of the way the data is stored is 32bit

A U.S. based played hit the limit monthds back - this dude is the first European player to do it ..... frankly, it would not suprise me if dodginess is involved ......

And remember - Chinese gold farmers hit limits consistently .... but then again, they're not really WoW players are they

yeah - true, cos somehow I don't see Chinese Gold farmers interacting with GM's while they're pillaging instances or accounts they're using for PL-ing ....

Haha look at the combat log down the bottom right of the screenshot. So thats how he's made all that gold. He's been camping Gamon in Org

Yeh and you would lose over 200,000 gold....

The most you can bring with you is 10k at level 70

This particular person was/ still is guildmaster of one of several of the largest guilds in europe. It is legit when you really think about it its not that much. the average wow has a few thousand gold even without trying to accumulate it 217,000 or so doesnt seem like a lot really

His gold could have gotten him roughly €6,500 if he sold it to a gold buyer
