Munster 10 year ticket...

Just wondering has anyone on here bought one of these?

    * A guaranteed ticket for 10 years
    * Prime located East Stand seating
    * Secured position between the 22s
    * Three Heineken Cup pool matches each season
    * Opportunity to purchase ticket for an other home match run by Munster Rugby moved to a larger ground, eg, Heineken Cup quarter-finals, etc
    * Priority to renew if the scheme is extended

€5,500 seems a bit pricey... First it says a guaranteed ticket for 10 years but then 3 HC pool matches each season. Is it not a ticket to every match held in Thomond park for the next 10 years?

How much is a premium East Stand seat between the 22s normally?

I bought one for €5k when they came out first. I am in the supporters affiliated club (limited nos. in the main club) and can't get my hands on tickets ever unless I can get one from the local club. For me it is worth €500 per year.
AFAIK all their home Magners games will be payed there and these tickets are included. Also if they progress to the knockout stages of the HCup ticket holders have an option to buy a ticket if the game is moved to Dublin or wherever.
With the All Blacks due in autumn, this game alone will be worth the money, a chance to see the Blacks in the flesh ...in Thomond? Rugby heaven.
If there is an international or A game played in Thomond also I get an option on a ticket. With the increased capacity maybe Ireland will play their A games and "lesser" (Romania etc) there?

PS= if one was that way inclined what would you get on the streets for a ticket for Saturday nights game? A grand? And against the ABs?

I think you're overestimated the street price of tickets, and it takes a particular type of person to tout tickets to real fans...

    I would never tout a ticket , I'm just making a point.
Actually I just checked EBay and there is one ticket for auction with 21 bids so far for €450 at the moment ...

it actually seems like a good deal over a 10 year period compaired to the deal being offered for the new landsdowne road at 15k for a few games a year. I hear a lot of people are not to happy with the ticket arrangement for this weekends match tho. it seems that people getting tickets for the matches for years have been ignored for this one after going to the previous 2 home ones and traveling to some of the away ones as well. doesn't seem fair really that real fans are getting ditched in favour of corporate

Yeah it really bad form with the real fans can't get tickets. It makes the atmosphere not as good. My uncle and aunt used to be in the munster supporters club and then they were away on holiday when their membership came up for renewal and the supporters club just assumed that they didn't want it anymore even though they were in it since the start?!? stupid really.

the East Stand is only new
Oh the East stand is the new one? TBH I would have considered the existing area at the bottom a bit more "prime" than the stand which looks a bit far from the action... (at least for someone with eye-sight like mine...)
    They're all sold anyway AFAIK.
I think they put a few more on the market...

If people didn't pay OTT prices then they'd be no touts. It's one thing covering costs but paying way over the odds is plain stupid.

BTW, I think the 10 year ticket is expensive, 3 HEC and 5 ML matches and the opportunity to purchase tickets for any other matches being held in TP under the control of Munster Rugby. Not sure about rugby matches organised by the IRFU.
