    Oh I forgot to add that this was the best of about 20 photos and i also did abit of editing and cropping.

    a very cute pic. Maybe it's just me but I'm not mad into the Black & White in this case, also it doesn't seem to be very sharp but you did capture a very nice smile and from my own experience that's an achievement in itself :D

    i think the flash is too harsh; most of my successful baby shots have been taken under natural light.

    Good thing about little people is that they don't mind posing. Stick the baby sitting on a windowsill (careful now) and use available light, see which you prefer :)

    I'd second that.. It does seem to have a bit of 'rabbit in the headlights' look about it. Natural light is the only light source you'll ever need.

    I'm still trying to decide if I like this photo or not. I do post a fair bit of B&W baby photos, but for the most part I take them using natural light; using a straight flash for a baby portrait is overkill.
