I am heading to London for a show in the 02 arena in April and was wondering if anyone could recomend somewhere to stay that is close to there, we'll only be there for one night so it doesn''t have to be top notch....

    Cheers!

Going to see the Eagles in the 02 in March.
Have booked the Holiday inn at Greenwich, its half a kilometer from the venue.

IIRC apart from the o2 complex there's not much around that area as you're in the middle of docklands. The only advantage to staying there is you don't have to squash on the tube after the gig.

Was there about 2 weeks ago for a gig and after looking at all the hotels I decided to stay at Heathrow because I could get much better hotel for cheaper and because it meant longer in bed and less rush for my flight in the morning!

But I suppose it depends where your flying into. Also gettin the tube after is not the much hassle we were only waiting about 10mins to get on a tube and it thins out once you hit central London.
