Has anyone updated to 1.1.3? Is there any improvements or anything different?

My friends dad did, said it's really good.

Noticeable speed improvement, nice new apps, the shaking icon move tool is great and lots of nice little features esp. the lyrics tool in the music app.

Is the update in the apps you have to pay for? Sorry if it is. I would not of started a new thread if I knew.

Well with the iPhone you don't have to pay for the apps but the Touch you do. Ther'e's new games included and Maps and Mail have been updated.

iTunes advertised 1.1.3 to me last night so I upgraded; didn't have to pay although I was informed about the new firmware (for which you have to pay) the next time I connected the device.

    Hi,

I am having problems installing th enew firmware 1.1.3 I have downloaded it (all 165 MB!) and upgraded my itunes to the latest version. When I try and sync my itouch to install the new apps I get the following error:

"iTunes could not install the iPod touch Software Upgrade on iPod "<<MY Ipod name>> because an unknown error occured (-50)"

I tried search google and the forums but could not find any mention of this error. Has anybody come across this yet?

    Thanks

1.1.3 itself is free of charge, the application updates require payment.

yeh but at least you'll have support for these apps.

    won't upgrading to 1.1.3 un-jailbreak the iphone/touch?
